Toradora!

One thing I find it cool in this anime is its title..^.^ The girl was named Taiga, which sounds similar to how Japanese pronounce “tiger” in English. The guy was named Ryuji, which means “son of dragon” in Japanese. That was how “Toradora!” was named… “Tora” means tiger, which refers to Taiga. “Dora” was from “Doragon”, Japanese way of pronouncing “dragon”, which refers to Ryuji. So basically, the title of the series was named after the two main protagonists…>.<

Synopsis:

Toradora!’s story begins with the male protagonist Ryūji Takasu who is frustrated at trying to look his best as he enters his second year of high school. Despite his gentle personality, his eyes make him look like an intimidating delinquent, so he feels utterly hopeless about his chances of getting a girlfriend anytime soon, and does not have many close friends either. After being greeted by his hungover mother in the morning, Ryūji goes to school and is happy to find that he gets to be in the same class with his best friend Yūsaku Kitamura and a girl he has a crush on, Minori Kushieda. However, it is then that he unexpectedly knocks into “the school’s most dangerous animal of the highest risk level”—Taiga Aisaka—who just happens to also be in his class, and is a good friend of Minori.

Taiga has a negative attitude towards others and will not hesitate to snap at people. After meeting Ryūji, she takes an instant dislike to him. Taiga comes from a rich family, but she has moved out to live on her own due to family issues. She is coincidentally living in an apartment next to Ryūji’s. When Ryūji discovers that Taiga has a crush on Yūsaku, and Taiga finds out about Ryūji’s affections towards Minori, Ryūji suggests that they cooperate to win the objects of their affections. Taiga exploits the fact that Ryūji will do anything to get closer to Minori. She makes him her personal servant, getting him to do all her household chores (cooking and cleaning). Taiga spends a lot of her time over at his house, so much that she could almost be considered a member of his family. Since Ryūji spends a lot of time with Taiga, he has opened up to her world and to a side of her that most people do not see. The two also try to help each other improve the way people view them. However people they know from school start to become curious about their strange relationship and rumors begin to spread about them behind their backs. Ryūji and Taiga start getting along more as things progress with the relationships between the characters and eventually confess their true feelings of love towards each other.

Kimi ni Todoke

It’s a really sweet love story of two high schoolers who are equally dense. They didn’t realize that the other person also reciprocate their feelings. Just like the title indicates, Kimi ni Todoke means to make their feeling reach out to the person.

Lovely Complex

I’ve just finished watching it last night…Watched until 5 in the morning! ^^ My friend recommended  it to me, but at first I didn’t really want to watch since the drawing isn’t that nice..But when I finally watched it, I couldn’t help but to stay up all night to finish it.

Plot(wikipedia):

Love★Com is a love story between a boy and a girl in Sakai, Osaka. The girl, Risa Koizumi, is 172 centimetres (5 ft 8 in) tall—much taller than the average Japanese girl. The boy, Atsushi Ōtani, is 165 cm (5 ft 5 in)—way below the height of the average Japanese boy. Because of this, the pair are called the “All Hanshin Kyojin” after a popular comedy duo that has a similar height difference.

During summer school, a very tall student named Ryouji Suzuki (from another class) shows up and Risa immediately falls for him because he is tall. There is a girl that Atsushi likes as well, so Risa and Atsushi decide to put aside their differences and help each other get their love interests. But as they get to know each other better, Risa’s feelings for Atsushi begin to blossom, and her love life gets complicated from there on.

Okay…my opinion in this manga is that it’s really awesome how  it can be funny and sad at the same time. I laughed and cry at the same time like an insane person all night.  The plot is funny on how in-syn Risa and Otani can be; they both have same personality. What shocked me was that it took Otani one whole year to realize his own feeling, while Risa was suffering in keeping them the same way as before. Even  though there were some awkward moments after  he  knew that she like him, they still look cute together and act all in-syn and hyper when they forgot about it.
